New York, NY — The new Virgin Hotels New York City (located at 1227 Broadway) recently launched a high-end golf experience for visitors called Swingers Crazy Golf. The adults-only golf entertainment venue boasts three nine-hole putting green courses installed by the experts at SYNLawn New York.
Designing Crazy High-End Golf Courses
The impressive 23,000 square feet space is the latest location of Swingers Crazy Golf, which originated in London. Visitors to the NoMad neighborhood of NYC are transported to a unique destination offering three crazy indoor high-end golf courses, a 1920s English golf clubhouse, six cocktail bars, and four gourmet street food vendors.
SYNLawn New York is highly regarded for its innovative commercial installations and premium products, so it was an easy decision for the London-based Institute of Competitive Socialising (ICS) to hire them to design three custom courses to cover more than 10,000 square feet of the social hub.
Creating the Custom Putting Greens
To create the nine-hole putting greens (the Waterwheel, the Clocktower, and the Windmill), SYNLawn New York installed 8,000 square feet of Precision Putt synthetic golf surfacing grass and 4,000 square feet of SYNAugustine 847 as a fringe.
