Creating a World-Class Driving Range Tee Line
The experts at SYNLawn Montréal designed a custom tee line for Whitlock’s driving range using 780 square feet of two premium golf surfaces: Tee Strike and Classic Pitch.
Tee Strike is a premium synthetic turf built for high-traffic tee lines, hitting mats, and training centers. It’s a great fit for a busy club driving range because it offers:
- Reliable performance: Excellent resiliency, durability, and density for golfers of every level, including professionals.
- Player comfort: Minimal club head drag, plus a cushioned, stable stance that helps reduce fatigue.
- A longer-lasting hitting area: Each mat was secured individually, so club staff can rotate the mats to extend the life of the tee line.
Classic Pitch is another ideal surface for golf installations thanks to its outstanding durability and ball performance. Developed through years of research with input from some of golf’s greatest coaches, this high-performance turf is built with resilient nylon fibers that hold shots from inside 150 yards with realistic check, bounce, and roll.
To further boost performance, the SYNLawn Montréal team added Envirofill infill for long-lasting turf performance and antimicrobial protection.
Precision Installation for a Perfectly Level Tee Line
Because Tee Strike and Classic Pitch have different thicknesses, the SYNLawn Montréal team installed the nailer boards at different heights to create one even surface across the tee line. The nailer boards were also installed in separate sections beneath each mat, so individual mats can be rotated without disturbing the rest of the hitting area.
Sustainable Golf Turf Built for Québec’s Golf Season
Both Tee Strike and Classic Pitch are sustainable choices, made with SYNLawn’s plant-based EnviroLoc+™ Backing System. The tee line also conserves water and needs no mowing, fertilizer, or pesticides to maintain.
