Maineville, OH – For golfers in southwest Ohio, winter usually means putting the clubs away for months. Two local businessmen saw an opportunity to change that. Tapping into the booming popularity of indoor golf simulators, they opened Tee 18 Golf, an indoor golf venue where Cincinnati-area golfers can play, practice, and socialize no matter the weather.
To make the experience feel as close to the real thing as possible, they partnered with the golf experts at SYNLawn Cincinnati, who designed the installation layout and installed premium putting surfaces in front of each simulator screen.
A Year-Round Gathering Place for Local Golfers
Tee 18 Golf is more than a place to hit balls. Building an Indoor Golf Venue With Interactive Putting Greens
For this innovative project, SYNLawn Cincinnati combined synthetic golf surfacing with simulator technology to create interactive putting areas in front of each of the venue’s simulator screens.
The team used a combination of SYNLawn golf products to build each interactive area:
- 1,500 square feet of Precision Putt: Delivers excellent ball control and the quality performance you’d expect from a professional golf course. This realistic-looking turf also features stain-resistant technology for long-lasting performance.
- 400 square feet of SYNRye 200: One of the safest and most resilient surfaces available, with an ASTM E108 Class A fire rating, an important feature for an indoor commercial space.
- Tee Strike: Offers superior resiliency, durability, and density, providing reliable performance for players of every skill level.
All three products are made with SYNLawn’s exclusive plant-based EnviroLoc+™ Backing System, created from renewable resources such as soybean oil.
